Dear Cats Corner Friends,

MUSIC THIS WEDNESDAY

Steve Lucky & the Rhumba Bums featuring Miss Carmen Getit! Truly one
of the most sensational bands to hit our stage, the Rhumba Bums
deliver 30's, '40s & '50s-style swing, vintage jazz, jumpin' R & B,
blues, and original tunes featuring Steve Lucky on piano & vocals, and
Miss Carmen Getit on guitar. The band has been a familiar force in the
SF Bay Area swing scene as well as internationally, and we're excited
to have them back...especially following up on their electrifying show
last month!

In the DJ booth: swing dancer and accomplished jazz and classical
guitarist Leo King will exercise his discerning musical taste this
week, as he spins a fine selection of classic swing tunes, keeping you
in the mood to enjoy dancing and/or a cocktail at the bar!

JOIN OUR VOLUNTEER STAFF -- RECEIVE FREE DANCE PARTY ADMISSION AND
CLASSES!

Are you friendly, outgoing and responsible? We need your help to staff
the front door, take admissions, and welcome guests to Cats Corner!

Volunteers who work a single 1-hour shift receive free dance party
admission for the evening. Those who commit to helping for the month
(or equivalent 4-5 shifts), also receive credit for a month-long lindy
hop class...at either Cats Corner or Avenue Dance Studio. We
especially need help for the later shifts.

APRIL LINDY HOP CLASSES ARE FORMING NOW!

Online registration is OPEN for our April session of Lindy Hop classes
with Nathan & Christine. Progressive format classes help your dancing
improve weekly as you learn to swing out with style with Nathan &
Christine!

6:30pm Beginning Lindy Hop ($55/65 early/full registration. 20
students max)
7:30pm Intermediate Lindy Hop ($60/70 early/full registration. 18
students max)

Can't make it to the Lindy Hop classes? Just starting out with swing?

Join our 8:30pm Drop-in Lesson to learn fun, new (and often silly)
steps...we start from scratch each week, and cover the basics and
more! $10 cost *includes* dance party admission, so you can enjoy
dancing to the band right after the lesson!
