California Honeydrops, DJ Naomi Perez + February Lindy Hop Classes Forming

MUSIC THIS WEDNESDAY

The California Honeydrops dig deep into the roots of American music,
embracing the traditions of Swing, Blues, Gospel, Second Line New
Orleans Jazz, and early R&B.
With stellar performances of traditional material as well as their own
innovative music, The California Honeydrops get people out of their
seats and onto the floor, dancing and singing along. They recently won
the 2009 SF Weekly Award for Best R&B/Soul Band and have sold out
shows at Yoshi's in SF, the Lindy Groove in LA and have even developed
a bit of an international following after a recent tour in Poland!

The Honeydrops, who originally played weekly during the early days of
Cats Corner using the alternate name the Jellyroll Souls (long story)
have become so popular and booked up that this will be one of the few
times to catch them at Savanna Jazz Club for a while. Make sure you're
there for this Wednesday's show!

During the band break, DJ up-and-comer Miss Naomi Perez spins the
swingin' tunes so you can keep on dancing, or lounge at the bar with
friends...as you like it!

DROP-IN SWING CLASS & HAPPY HOUR DISCOUNT

Our 8:30pm Drop-in Swing class is an ever-popular way to learn the
basics of swing dancing. Christine & Nathan share their favorite
steps, starting from scratch each week, and always ending with
something fun and goofy! $10 cost includes dance party admission!
Beginners welcome, and no partner needed -- you'll meet plenty of
people in class!
