Dear Cats Corner Friends,

Join us this Wednesday in the Mission for a fun night of dancing to
live music, cocktails, and good times with good friends!

Here's what's in store:

LAVAY SMITH & HER SWINGTET. Lavay is internationally recognized as The
Queen Of Classic Jazz & Blues in the authentic style of the 1940's and
1950's. Her all-star band, led by boogie-woogie pianist Chris Siebert
and featuring acclaimed saxophonist Jules Broussard, play sweet and
sizzling arrangements that will put you in a mood for dancing!

DJ AUTUMN LAVARTA, our favorite end-of-the-month DJ returns to the
booth to spin great classic swing tunes during the band break and
after party!

FREE SWING! BOOKS FOR LINDY HOP STUDENTS!

We recently acquired several box loads of "Swing! The New Retro
Renaissance," a book that covers the history of the peak of the modern
swing dance revival during the late 90s. The book features articles,
music reviews, interviews, photos and more...making it a fun read and
a great coffee table book for any serious Lindy Hopper. We're happy to
make the books available for free to those of you registered for our
Lindy Hop classes! (speaking of which...)

7:30-8:30pm Intermediate Lindy Hop: scissor kicks, swivels, 6-count
variations & side-by-side variation, Charleston lift & drop, drags,

Costs: $55 early registration. $65 full price. $90 for both classes.
$20 weekly drop-in.

8:30PM DROP-IN SWING WELCOMES BEGINNERS

Learn to swing dance with style! Our beginning swing lesson is the
perfect way to learn a few, fun and easy steps to get you started
dancing...right before the band starts! $10 cost include dance party
admission, so you can dance and party all night long!
