Dear Cats Corner Fans,

Hard to believe March is already upon us! Beat the freezing weather
and come party with us this Wednesday in the Mission. Here's the
latest scoop...including special news about an upcoming Irish Dance
Workshop on March 12th taught by two of Cats Corner's favorite
dancers: Gerry & Darcy...read on for details!

MUSIC THIS WEDNESDAY

This week, we feature a relatively new band to the scene, and also one
headed by one of our own Swing/Lindy Hop/Balboa dancers, Rich Werden!
The Rhythm Roustabouts are a group of musicians who know that your
Jazz should be hot and your Swing hard-hitting. The band celebrates
the Swing music of the 1920s and 30s that erupted in New Orleans and
Harlem and inspired a nation to invent its own original dance forms.
The band has been playing around town recently, most notably at Lindy
Central in Burlingame. They'll also be a featured band at the upcoming
Le Hot Sauce Workshop Weekend in March (http://www.lehotsauce.com).

Roy Rydbeck staffs our DJ booth this week. After spending several
years dancing and DJing in Tampa & Chicago, Roy returned to San
Francisco, where he started dancing. He frequently DJs at the 9:20
Special, Rent Party & Friday Night Blues, and has been featured at
many national dance events. He likes to mix a variety of swinging
music styles, and with a predisposition toward groove, swinging blues,
Big Band, and pre-45 small jazz combo's.
