Dear Cats Corner Guests,
THIS WEEK'S MUSIC
This Wednesday, Cats Corner hosts the Fil Lorenz Orchestra, a star-
studded "little BIG band" that bridges the gap between the classic big
bands of the 1930's and the smaller, lighter groovin' bands of the
1950's. Band leader & saxophonist Fil Lorenz leads a tight horn
ensemble that packs a bold punch, while also channeling a sweet and
classy sound. Backed by a driving rhythm section on piano/bass/drums,
the band plays classic renditions of our favorite big band swing dance
tunes...a pure delight for dancing!
Swing dancer and accomplished jazz and classical guitarist Leo King
will exercise his discerning musical taste this week, as he mans our
DJ booth and spins a fine selection of classic swing tunes, keeping
you in the mood to enjoy dancing and/or a cocktail at the bar!
LEADERS NEEDED FOR LINDY HOP CLASSES
While both of our Lindy Hop classes are sold out for followers, we
still have a few spots open for leaders. The best way to guarantee
your spot in class is to sign up for the series...email

to try their luck as a drop-in.

BEGINNERS ALWAYS WELCOME FOR OUR 8:30PM SWING CLASS
Our Beginning Swing Drop-in class at 8:30pm is a great way to get your
feet wet with swing dancing! Whether you're just starting out, or want
to meet more fun people to dance with, we welcome you to join us. We
start from scratch each week and teach the basics of leading and
following as well as fun, goofy steps from the Swing Era.
$10 cost *includes* dance party admission.
