Namaste ! Catrobat Team,
I’m Ishan Khambhaliya, a curious and enthusiastic Computer Science student eager to dive into open-source contributions. I’ve been exploring the GSoC project ideas and am particularly excited about the AR-based interactive Marine Ecosystem Simulation and AI-generated 3D Models from Marine Animals.
I have previously worked with Unity, ARCore, and Blender and am dabbling in generative AI tools like Stable Diffusion. Combining tech with marine biology for education feels both challenging and rewarding, and I’d love to contribute to these projects.
Are there any tips on getting started or resources I should check out? Looking forward to learning from this amazing community!

Hello Mentors Krishan Mohan Patel and Himanshu Kumar,
I've been exploring different possible approaches for implementing the AI-generated 3D models of marine animals project and came across some open-source models that might help us achieve the desired results more efficiently. I've attached a video demonstrating this approach below.
I have a few questions about the functionality requirements:
1. Do we need to optimize for low polygon counts to ensure better AR performance?
2. Should the models be auto-rigged to support animations?
3. Are there any open-source datasets available for marine biology that you'd recommend?
Looking forward to your guidance on these technical aspects!
