Dear Mentors,

I hope you are doing well.

I am writing to inform you that I have successfully submitted my GSoC 2026 proposal for the International Catrobat Association under the project idea “Gemini API Powered Intelligent Care Assistant.”

The proposal focuses on building Ayushman, an AI-powered intelligent care assistant that transforms raw IoT-based activity signals into meaningful, context-aware summaries and alerts using the Gemini API. The goal of the project is to support caregivers, supervisors, and family members by helping them interpret routine patterns and deviations while ensuring responsible and ethical AI usage.

In preparing the proposal, I worked on much more than only the written document. I also designed and implemented an initial working prototype to demonstrate the practical feasibility of the idea. The prototype currently includes:

  • IoT activity data ingestion and preprocessing
  • Detection of anomalies such as missed routines and unusual patterns
  • Gemini-inspired natural language summaries and contextual explanations
  • Role-based outputs for caregivers, supervisors, and family members
  • Human-in-the-loop validation before alerts are escalated
  • Confidence indicators and explainability-focused responses
  • Interactive dashboard views
  • Text-to-speech based audio summaries for accessibility

To further strengthen the proposal, I also prepared:

  • A complete architecture and implementation plan for the 350-hour timeline
  • Detailed ethical AI safeguards, including no-diagnosis policies and audit logging
  • A Test-Driven Development workflow for reliability and maintainability
  • Evaluation metrics covering anomaly detection accuracy, false positive rate, approval rate, and usability
  • A full demo video walkthrough showing the workflow from data ingestion to human-approved alert delivery
  • A public GitHub repository containing the prototype code and project structure

Through this project, I hope to contribute not only a technically strong system, but also a human-centered and ethically governed AI solution aligned with Catrobat’s vision of accessible and meaningful technology.
