GSoC 2026 Results & A Note of Thanks to the Catrobat Community

Hi everyone!

I had submitted a proposal for the project "Extension of Sandbox Toolkit for simplifying the Development of Marine based AR Modules." It’s been a while since the GSoC results were announced, and while I wasn’t selected this year, I wanted to share how much I enjoyed the proposal process with the Catrobat community.

I especially want to say thank you to Himanshu Kumar for the time you took to answer my queries throughout the application period—I truly hope I wasn’t too much of a bother! Your guidance made the process so much smoother and kept me motivated.

I also want to reach out to the project mentors, Shivendra Verma and Oishik Dutta. I’m sorry we weren’t able to connect more deeply during the drafting phase, but I’m still very passionate about the Marine-based AR Modules concept.
If you have a moment, any feedback on my proposal and where I lacked or advice on how I can improve for future contributions would be greatly appreciated!

Finally, huge congratulations and best of luck to Gunjan Vishwakarma, who was selected for this project. I’m looking forward to seeing the amazing things you all build this summer!
