Hello Everyone,
I am Paras, a Computer Science and Business Systems undergraduate from BMS College of Engineering (BMSCE), Bangalore, India. I recently came across the GSoC idea list and was particularly excited about the project “Multiplayer, IoT, and Home Assistant support via two MQTT bricks.”
I have hands-on experience building IoT-focused systems and working with real-world device communication pipelines. Recently, I have worked on a WiFi RTT–based indoor positioning system in collaboration with Samsung, where I developed an Android simulator app and testing framework to model indoor localization behavior. The project involved designing the architecture for device communication, handling sensor and network data, and experimenting with real-time data processing pipelines.
The idea of enabling MQTT-based communication for multiplayer and smart home integrations is extremely exciting to me. I am particularly interested in working on device-to-device communication, real-time messaging systems, and IoT integrations with platforms like Home Assistant, and I would love to contribute to designing robust MQTT bricks for Catrobat.
I would be grateful for any guidance on how I can start contributing, explore relevant issues, or prepare for this project idea.
Looking forward to actively contributing to the Catrobat community!
Best Regards,
Paras
