GSoC 2026 – Introduction & Interest in Contributing

Hi everyone!

I'm Vani, an Information Science and Engineering student from India, interested in contributing to Catrobat for GSoC 2026.

I've been exploring the Catrobat ecosystem thoroughly — I've downloaded and tried Pocket Code, Luna & Cat, Embroidery Designer and Create@School to understand the platform from a user's perspective. I'm currently setting up my development environment to make my first contribution through the training ticket system.

My background includes Android and web development, and I've worked on projects including a gamified finance app and a unit test analyzer — the latter making me especially drawn to Catrobat's testing-focused onboarding process.

I'm keen to engage with the community early and would love any guidance on picking the right project idea to focus on for my proposal.
