Just wondering did you ever receive feedback that Catnap is still working on Mono Touch with the new Fluent style mappings?  Is it still possible to use the older style mappings?

I am writing the Android side, my co-worker will eventually write the Mono Touch side but he isn't able to test it out right now and I don't have access to Mono Touch myself.

Still trying to make up my mind if I should use the newest version of Catnap or go with an older version that has been used in a previous app.

Craig,

I'm not sure.  I have two legacy iOS apps in the store, and I had to get Xamarin just to keep them running. (Thanks to them for giving it to me free.)

I think that I had trouble with the latest Catnap on the latest MonoTouch, but I can't exactly remember for sure. I do believe that the terse version of the mapping was not working, and I had to go back to the long version.  MonoTouch definitely has recurring troubles with regressing when it comes to heavy generics and lambdas.

Tim,Craig,

We have managed to get Catnap working on devices using the long version of the fluent mapping as well as making a few Catnap code changes to overcome the limitations of the AOT compiler (the code is way too clever for it). I'm in the process of putting together a pull request and some documentation to describe the way we have used the long mapping style.

It was challenging to get things working on devices, but now we have Catnap is a robust and good performing solution. Many thanks to Tim for providing this to the community.

Rhys.

Rhys,

That's awesome, and thanks for the good work.  I will look forward to the pull request.

Tim,

The pull request has just been submitted. I'll start work on the WIKI page. How do I go about updating the documentation?

Rhys
