Hi, CAT Members,

In today's CAT Board meeting, several projects were discussed and plans for the upcoming events were made. The followings are some of the decisions and action plans:

1. Xiaoli Liu's Support Plan.
Thanks to our volunteers for their quick responses and offers to help. Now we have already lined up support groups (2 each day) for the whole week. Due to medical situation, support groups are not required to provide nursing help yet. Detail for schedules can be coordinated with Pinfang Xu (410-1449 w or 345-7239 c) and Yuchou Zhang (590-3146 c). More volunteers are still needed, please sign up with them two. If you would like to make a donation, please write your check payable to Chinese Association of Tallahassee (CAT), and make a note "For Xiaoli Liu" at the memo space. Please contact Shuchun Liang (668-0504 h or 524-2872 c) for details. Thank you!

2.  Springtime Tallahassee Parade.
Our association will be participating in the annual Springtime Tallahassee Parade. We will present a 2008 Olympic Games themed parade, with the 5 Beijing Olympics mascots, banners, two dragon teams, and CAT, CSSA, and Chinese Martial Art Center teams.
20 Volunteers for the two dragon teams are needed. Please contact Huanwu Qi (410-3424 w or 575-7626 h) to sign up. Besides, we need volunteers for the Olympic mascots, drum, gong, etc., as well as sound equipment, photographers, and families. Please sign up before 3/10/08. The dragon team will practice on Saturdays, 3/15 and 3/22 before taking to the parade on March 29, 2008.

3. New Contact List Being Compiled
It has been a while since we have compiled a CAT member registry, or the contact list. The CAT Board will create a new Contact List. If you are new or don't want to be left out, please contact Shilin Ding (645-6810 w or 766-4040 h) or Huanwu Qi (410-3424 w or 575-7626 h) to sign up.

Thanks to your enthusiasm and support, from both the board members and volunteers, we have jump to a good and early start. Let's keep up our good work and have fun doing it! ;-)
