I think it's because we use a google login and it always defaults to the google profile picture on our email. This would be alright except the image is turned into a 10x10 blurry mess. If we change the profile picture or delete it, it will return the next day. This is a significant oversight by the Zoom team. Is there a fix for this?

We're having the same problem logging into the zoom app. It keeps reverting to the Gmail picture and not using the zoom profile pictures we've saved. It works half the time and half the time its different. Please fix!

Can you give me some idea of "when it works" and "when it doesn't"? I'm told by my Zoom contacts that if you have a Zoom profile picture set, it should use that -- even if you log in with a Google-based account.

I'm not really a Google user, so I've been telling you what I think is the answer based on Zoom documentation and what I hear from other folks. But today I pulled out one of my Google accounts and linked it to the Zoom account - which was easy! But then I changed profile pictures in several "normal" ways... and now I see what you're saying -- it's kind of crazy!

A little to add to this, I logged into one of our other zoom accounts in a google chrome tab, closed the tab while still being signed into the zoom app. When I went to open a zoom meeting it is using the profile of the other zoom account that I closed out of (I didn't log out but assumed the app would override especially when I closed the tab).

Have you noticed that when you turn off your video on a zoom meeting, your profile picture looks pixelated and blurry? Weird, huh? Well, I tried a number of workarounds to see if we could fix this problem, and finally found one that does help.First, let me tell you what I tried that did NOT work.I tried uploading multiple sizes of photos, already cropped to a square, as well as rectangular ones that needed cropping. I even sized the image to 267 pixels by 267 pixels, a number that someone suggested on a Zoom community forum post. Nothing helped. After submitting a help ticket to Zoom about this, with the following comparison image (see below), I didn't get what we would consider a very useful solution. Their tech support informed me there is no solution: "when uploading your picture on your profile, it is cropped on a small scale. When the image will show on a screen in a meeting, it will be upscaled to your Monitor resolution."But, I stumbled across a solution! The answer is to use the virtual background feature.I'm not sure how long this will work for, but for now, it seems to do the trick.Steps to Make Your Zoom Photo Look Better

  1. Leave your video "on"
  2. block your camera (put privacy cover on, or sticky note over laptop)
  3. Go to settings > background & effects > virtual backgrounds (I
  4. Add your headshot as a virtual background
It's important to note that this only works while your video is left "on. and you have the camera completely blocked. If you take off the cover, you will show up in front of your photo -- and that looks weird. If you turn the video "off" then the pixelated zoom profile pic will show back up.But, if you leave your video on as instructed -- just the virtual background (aka a better quality version of your profile pic) will be visibleIn case you're a person who likes visual directions -- I've included two screenshots below.Right click on the video "more" arrow and then select "Video Settings..."Navigate to "Background & Effects" and then click the "+" icon at right, then select "Add Image." Select your desired headshot portrait and then close the settings dialog box.Remember. You have to leave your video on and your lens obstructed for this workaround to work.Hooray! Hope I helped you out. We used ZimZoom Photo Booth last weekend for our 40th high school reunion and it was a huge hit! Everyone loved having the ability to print out and text the pictures, and the pictures turned out great. John from ZimZoom was awesome and had such a wonderful, positive personality. I HIGHLY recommend hiring them for your next event!

The photobooth was definitely a big hit, and we were so glad to have you guys there. The picture quality, layout/design, props, and attendant service were all fantastic. We have already recommended you guys to a number of our soon-to-be married friends. Thanks again!

Hi everyone...is there any way in indesign cs5 that I can make zoom in or zoom out of a pic while keeping the size of the frame/picture box the same on a page? I've tried using the fitting function, but that doesn't allow me to isolate the picture. In Quark I'm able to hit the arrow keys and resize within the frame that way. I haven't been able to find an equivalent keyboard shortcut on my Mac and indesign. Thank you very much

First, make sure the image itself and not the frame is selected, then the default keybaord shorcuts are Crtl (Cmd on Mac) + > or < (they say . or , in the help, but that's hard to read and the anble brackets are much easier to read intuitively) for scaling by 1% increments. Add the Alt (Opt) key to scale in 5% jumps. Pick the point in the transform proxy first lo leave fixed.

If you have the patience to wait for it to load, all the default keybaord shortcuts that are not displayed in the menus are listed in categories in the Help file. Second item from the bottom of the list in the contents...

I have a photograph named A.jpg. I have to send it to some other person and I dont want him to zoom it more than 30%.Is there any such option? I am ready to change my extension of the photograph also, to e.g. A.pdf or something.

So, in that case, the answer here is simply to not send the full-resolution photo to the other person. Simply use Photoshop or some other software to rescale the image to be much smaller. I don't know exactly what you mean by "zoom it more than 30%", but basically, the strategy would be to make it so that zooming in all the way to 1:1 would only show the level of detail you want.

Basically I want to perform a post-production zoom in camera raw, like I would on my telephoto lens. For example, I have a full body shot of a horse and I want to zoom in to just the head so that my full frame is the head. I don't want to just crop around the head, I want to magnify it.

3) left-click and drag on the image starting where you want to top-left corner and ending where you want the bottom-right corner to be. Then fine-tune the crop-box by click-dragging on the corner or side handles of the crop-box.

After you have cropped to the head of the horse, you can open the image into PSE or PS and use an Image / Resize function to change the pixel dimensions of the cropped area, but that is going to make things more blurry because you're not actually there with a lens and zooming in to record finer details.

Are you uploading to an online photo printing service and it is saying the cropped image isn't large enough in pixel dimensions? Your resizing it in post processing can remove that message but it isn't actually going to add any image detail.

When I chose a picture for my lock screen wallpaper it automatically zooms in on the picture. I cannot zoom out because it will not let me. I've tried different sites, reseting and I cant make any major adjustments without losing all my pictures, videos, ect. Is there something in the settings that needs to be changed or is this just a bug that Apple needs to work out?

I have exported the picture to my computer, AHH! HANG ON. I have just found a way. Thanks to other posts. 1). Go to accessibility. Turn zoom on. 2) scroll down and find Zoom region. Set to full screen. 3.) Go to the image and tap on it to bring up the menu and select "Use as wallpaper". 4.) Then use two fingers to set the size. 5). I haven't figured out the Perspective zoom yet, (on or 0ff) but at least I can get started. Cheers. Lee

Taking a screen shot with the iPad and using that photo for wall paper/screen saver still enlarges the photo and makes it unusable as a screen saver. Is there a way to make this work or did Apple screw up something else with their iOS 7 changes?

It's not zooming in as such. The picture you're trying to use is simply larger than the screen (in terms of pixels), so only a portion of the picture gets displayed. If you can reduce the picture size to the same size as the screen before you use it, you'll be OK.

I have an accordion block positioned to the right of an image. When I expand the accordion, the image zooms in, even though the blocks aren't overlapping and don't seem like they should affect each other. I've attached 2 screenshots of the expanded/non expanded accordion. As you can see, it also increases the height of the image. I don't have this problem when the accordion is above the image, and not to the side, but I'd prefer it be on the side.

One workaround is to adjust the height or position of Blocks. For example, if the Accordion Block is the same height as the Image Block, when the accordion expands, all the grid rows will expand, making the Image Block stretch too.

This worked for me - if you select the image block that is zooming and set a fixed height, the image doesn't change as you expand the accordion. The whitespace of the section still expands below the accordion but it doesn't look nearly as bad as the image zoom!
