Fort Bend ISD provides high school students with a variety of opportunities to participate in online and distance learning. These opportunities allow both students and teachers the opportunity to learn beyond the traditional classroom.
The O-LAB Program consists of a variety of online learning options. Each high school, Progressive, and the Reese CTE Center all have online learning labs and at least one full-time online teacher. Students work with their counselors and develop plans that can include traditional and non-traditional coursework. The O-LAB options include several ways to access online coursework.
Fort Bend ISD utilizes the Edgenuity learning management system and a catalog of courses for various locally managed programs. Students can take Edgenuity courses as part of their regular daily schedule for original credit or credit recovery. Some students choose to take an extra course beyond their regular daily school schedule. Various Summer O-LAB programs are available, too. Students must work with their campus counselor to apply for O-LAB, obtain approval, and adhere to the O-LAB guidelines for program eligibility. Course grades earned will be included on the student's FBISD transcript.
In some instances, FBISD students may earn credit through the approved providers listed below. Students must submit the O-LAB External Provider application (found under Online Forms in Family Access) to their campus counselor for approval. Students are subject to policies, procedures, expectations, and timelines set by each provider. Course grades provided by any approved external provider will be included on a student's FBISD transcript. Prices may vary. Limitations apply.
Students may be required to take exams on campus to ensure the integrity of the tests. Students communicate with instructors and with one another asynchronously (not in real time) through Canvas, the course management system used at the College.
Students registered for online courses receive a unique login based on personal information that includes a combination of their name and a four-digit randomly generated number, unique to each student. The password used by students is a combination of numbers based on each student's date of birth.
In many online courses, students are required to come to campus for testing where their photo IDs are checked, and they complete their exams under proctored conditions. At orientation, students are instructed to keep their login private and to comply with the BCCC Code of Conduct, which addresses issues of academic integrity.

Snohomish School District offers its registered students in grades 9-12 a variety of opportunities to complete courses in online formats. Although we do not offer a full-time online learning experience, students are able to complete individual online courses. Online courses that would replace an in-person course must be approved by the building principal. Course fees are applied when a student is taking more than six classes in a semester and during summer school. Students must work with their school counselor or administrator to register for online courses offered through our district's online programs.

270 minutes = 4.5 hours per course per week = full time attendance
Always log into TEd while completing coursework, even if the assignment or project is housed in a different program. TEd will track the total minutes spent working on a class ONLY if you are logged in. You must keep the program running in the background to track minutes appropriately.
If you need to add minutes because you forgot to log in or it was not possible to log in at the time you must send an email, and cc your parent/guardian, to
TUOAtt...@tempeunion.org for verification. We will update your minutes in Synergy. This will need to be done on or before Monday of the week directly following to accurately reflect the attendance for the week prior.
Students will be dropped from classes for non-attendance. 10 school days, or 2 weeks, without activity in a course will constitute being dropped from that course. Any extenuating circumstances should be communicated by your parent/guardian to your teacher, Ms. Salazar
