How to create point, spline and finally loft surface in a new CATIA V5 GSD document using a MS Excel Macro?

Solution Steps:

1. Please open MS Excel file from$CATIA_Install_Location\intel_a\code\command\GSD_PointSplineLoftFromExcel.xls that contains the Macro to run for creating point, Curve & Loft.

At the same time open CATIA V5 Generative Shape Design workbench.



 

2. Inside excel go to View | Macros |View Macros. Select “Feuil1Main” from the list then click on ‘Run’.

  

3. A pop-up window asks for User info, Write 1 for line or 2 for Curve or 3 for loft. Just now input 3 for loft. Finally CATIA will verify the coordinates & convert them into desired result.
