If Amazon worked like this they would've been out of business by 1999.
So.
I have 11 signed River Jordans and 6 unsigned.
I have 5 memorial cards.
I'll go through past emails to determine who gets the goodies.
I need someone to help facilitate.
The challenge here is that I have NO TIME!
That's why it's taken me so long to dig out the broadsides and memorial cards.
I need someone to work out mailing logistics.
I no longer have a PO box, and the things I'm mailing require special packaging.
The memorial cards should be mailed in padded envelopes. The cards measure 5.5" x 4.25". It's thick and unlikely to bend ...
The broadside is 15.25" x 7.5" and requires a rigid mailing envelope. In the past I hacked together two USPS 2-day priority mail envelopes.
Step aside for a moment ...
When I first started this list, circa 1992, I was in grad school and had a franking privileges and time. As reality impinged I maintained a PO box. In the last years of Jim's life my career was secondary to supporting him. In the last months of his life (I didn't know it) I quit my job to help him, and after he died I put aside my career to get Petting Zoo out. I regret nothing.
Today I'm in a different world, and I need all of you to help me do what I did by myself for so many years.
This evening I culled through my archives. I had intended only to find the River Jordan broadsides and memorial cards. But I got a phone call from Amme and that reminded me why I've got an archive. Thank you, Amme.
I also have to say that looking through the archive reminds me how much work I still have to do!
Anyway ...
While I'm trying to figure out who gets the broadsides and memorial cards, I need someone to figure out how to get these items to the recipients.
I have NO TIME! Did I mention that?
I'm thinking maybe people could send me the packaging. ... I dunno?
Can someone step up to facilitate?
Thanks,
Cassie
