Dear CATCA Members,

On behalf of our previous board members, I sincerely thank you for all your support and encouragement over the last two years to CATCA and our team. We had a wonderful time serving CATCA and have made tremendous progress over the last two years.

I would like to highlight a few of our achievements

-          Organized all four events, where consistently over 100 people signed up in evite, with a record number of participation for Christmas 2014 (>200) and for the Tamil Catholics Summit (>300)

-          Initiated Monthly GIFT Prayer – a virtual prayer event to strengthen our spirituality which is ongoing for the 21 consecutive month.

-          Redesigned and improved website for CATCA with online payment capability; established social media presence in facebook, youtube, twitter

-          Organized first ever North American Tamil Catholics’ Summit with a Musical Night, where over 300 Tamil Catholics participated in the event

-          Organized first ever CATCA event organized by our Youth for Easter 2014 choir and cultural event. Mentored our youth to lead cultural events for future.

-          Provided a consistent and excellent music and choir for Mass and Cultural programs

-          Established and strengthened relationship with other Tamil Catholic Associations (UTC, TCA, Boston, Charlotte), and local diocese of Baltimore and DC

More than these achievements, we have made truly great relationships and friendships for life.

Without the support of all our board members, committee leaders and dedicated members like you this would not have been possible. I take this opportunity to thank each one of our board members and their families for their tremendous sacrifices to serve the Lord and our community through CATCA. Special thanks to our past Spiritual Director, Rev. Fr.Antony Raj for his tremendous contributions to our spiritual growth in the community.

I wish the new board under the leadership of Mr. Barnaba Joseph Jesudasan all the very best and promise my prayers and full support. I am also happy to welcome our new spiritual director Rev. Fr. Antony Dhas and sincerely thank him for accepting to serve our community.

Let us all support our new volunteer board members and take CATCA to the next level and flourish in our Faith and Unity.

Thank you,

Rajesh Francis

Dear Rajesh & the Board (past),

You all did an excellent job for the last two years and I thank each one of you & your family for your outstanding and selfless service to our community.

Rajesh, as you have mentioned, centainly our community benefited a lot under your leadership, especially organizing the first ever North American Tamil
Catholics Summit and strongly ending in a high note with children/youth full participation on Saturday's Easter celebration.

I Welcome the new Board and wish all the best & good luck.

Fr. Antony Dhas is a very good choice for the spiritual director position.

May God bless each one and your family abundantly.

Regards,
Mariaselvam Chinnappan
