Dear CATCA Friends:

We are extremely delighted to inform you that Deacon Alwin Anbu, a Tamil Catholic from Pondicherry will be ordained as a priest on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 2:00.p.m. in the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Washington, D.C. In our generation, this is the first time ever a Tamil Priest Ordination is being held in the Capital Area of this great Nation.

Deacon Alwin Anbu, was a state topper in the Higher Secondary exams. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from PSG College of Technology - Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Subsequently, he completed his Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, USA.
At that point, he realized his calling to spread the God’s message of salvation; he left his comfortable contemporary life and joined “The Institute of the Incarnate Word” (often abbreviated “IVE”from the Spanish, Instituto del Verbo Encarnado) to seek the glory of God and the salvation of souls.
His Eminence, Cardinal Theodore E. McCarrick, Archbishop Emeritus of Washington, D.C. will confer his priesthood. His family gladly extended their invitation to our CATCA Community to join with them in the Holy Sacrament to thank and praise the Lord.

We also joyfully stand along the family to invite you to the ordination and if you are unable to join physically, please join us through your thoughts and prayers.

Kindly check the attached invitation for more details.

With warm regards,
CATCA Board
