Hey everyone,

Attracted by the catarse project and Ruby language, I would like to start to learn Ruby and RoR with this great project.

To start with the good tools, I have few questions which would be extremely easy and logical for you but very helpful for me!

- Do you think it's better to use Linux or Mac environment to development this kind of RoR project?
- At the beginning of the project, is it better to use the ruby localhost or to rent a webhost? If webhost is better, is there something better than Heroku?

Thank you very much for your help.
Looking forward for your response.

Any posix compliant system is good to work with rails

try using heroku, they have a freemium system, if you site doesn't use a lot of processing power (few users), you don't have to pay.

Thank you very much for your help.
