I spoke with the student rep on this project. Jessica Hoke (Journalism
'10) died in an unfortunate accident last year

A group of her friends and colleagues want to honor her. It might be
nice to reach out to the Studio Art majors to see if any of them would
like to participate - show their artwork at the event planned below.

- 10-11:30AM Registration/Check-in/Waivers/T-shirts (with $10 donation)
- 11:30-12PM Opening Ceremony (tell Jessica�s story, KUCI involvement,
motivate crowd)
- 12-1PM Walk around Outer Ring Mall (1.039 miles)
- 1-1:30PM Closing Ceremony (thank you, announce total raised, and �come
on out next year�)
- 1:30-2PM Drive Aware Fair (sponsor booths and artist showcases)
- 2-5PM Live Band Performances
Originally we wanted the event to take place outdoors, but because of
sound and weather factors, we may move the event indoors. When we settle
on those details, I will email you the updated information.
Jessica Hoke loved all types of art, so we are not looking for a
particular genre. Most of all, we want 6 or so student artists who are
passionate about their pieces.
We are looking for talented student artists to display their work at the
Jessica Hoke Memorial/Benefit Walk in early December. She was a former
student at UC Irvine and was passionate about art. Now, we want to
celebrate the art that you are passionate about. If you are interested
