Mates,
In re-commissioning this spring I noticed a small clear hose coming out of the bottom of the heat exchanger port.  The hose was hanging and had melted at the end.  I found no likely attaching point.  The Yanmar photos I found on an enthusiasts site show the location to have a pet-cock attached to it, not a tube/hose.  There is no water in the hose.  Anyone have an idea where this would attach and what if anything I need to do with it? below is a drawing from the Yanmar service manual for the engine, and the photo I attached is my actual engine showing the hose hanging there.

Hi Bill,
That hose is for draining the raw water out of the heat exchanger. The other end doesn’t connect anywhere.  I just put a container under it then loosen the little fitting that the hose connects to at the exchanger and the water drains.

Bill - that makes sense. Hose is likely cheaper than the valve I saw, and the hose is directable.  Thank you.
