Splashed Friday and flushing out water tanks after winterization.  Our water here is high in iron, causing a lot of scale.  Wanted to share few photos and tips that may be helpful to others if need to clean sink filters and improve water flow.

Unscrew to Expose; pick tool (green handle) worked really well to get things started

Kitchen Sink

Filter #1 at head

Filter #2 at flex fitting

Bathroom Sink

Filter #1 at head

Pulls out:

Bathroom sink drain, quite complex mechanism after pulled apart to clean

Our trick to get the air out of the lines when changing between water tanks, was to let water to run into the bilge first then to turn on the sink/toilet/shower/etc.

Happy Spring and Happy Easter!  Thankful for all of you as we share and learn together enjoying our beautiful sailboats on the water!

That's helpful for sure!
I tend to remove all these aerators when firing up the water system for the first time in the spring to prevent additional sediment from the water lines or tanks from clogging them up.  Somewhere I found replacement aerators for the galley, head and not sure about the stern shower though as I unscrew the wand and run alot of water through before putting it back on.  Some of them can be a bit tricky to clean with multiple layers of screens.  But after experiencing clogged aerators on our C320 20 some odd years ago thinking that it was a bad pump, that has become part of the drill, both boat and RV.
