Went on board today and both of my CO detectors were beeping. Only thing operational on my boat was the refrigerator. Other boats at my dock were not operating. Was able to clear by opening hatch and running fans, but really puzzled. Anyone have any insight?

I had a similar problem. It was caused by acid fumes coming from a bad battery. You might want to touch your batteries and see if they are hot.

To clarify, the CO reader gives a false positive with the acid. Obviously not actually CO

I once brought some old books on board and they set off the Carbon Monoxide monitors!

I think the house batteries got overcharged and that caused problem. Turned off solar charging while at marina ( shore power) and that seemed to resolve issue. Thanks for help.
