Hello
Could someone explain to me how the water line fittings come apart. Trying to add an extra
Line to drain the fresh water tanks at the manifold in the bilge.

There is a small u shaped plastic piece.  You put it around the pipe and use it to depress the white lock ring on the joint.  The pipes will then come apart.  You can get the piece at any hardware store or Home Depot or Lowe’s.

Aren’t the plumbing parts 15mm rather than 1/2 inch?

Mine are 1/2" not 15 mm.  I posted about it in December 2024 as I relief on other postings saying 15 mm rather than checking my boat.

So check before you purchase.

Hi Mike,
My hull is #77 and it has 15mm Whale fittings. The newer hulls have the Watts Aqualock fittings but the way to release is similar. Here’s a photo from the Whale catalog that shows how to release. It’s kind of awkward as you have to push in the collet and hold it in and then pull out the pipe. At times I’ve had to resort to pliers to push in and hold the collet in while I pull out the pipe.

Thank you everyone for your reply’s, this has been very helpful. I do have the 15mm pipe, as being an earlier hull #22.
Enjoy your time on the water.
