So I found a loose screw in a stantion base mid point on the port side. Can’t tighten it. Anyone know what these are screwed into? Backing plate or a nut or directly into fiberglass? Have not figured out a way to access this to check it, and not sure how to fix. Any knowledge or advise appreciated. Thanks.

I know how to access 1 stanchion from below which might allow you to visualize how it is secured. Open the small shelf forward in saloon (where you might have a speaker; in which case remove speaker). If you have a shelf then remove board at back to expose inside of hull. If starboard side of boat, you will see air vent hose from forward and mid water tanks attached to stanchion pipe that protrudes through the deck. I think I saw a plate but don’t recall seeing nuts. Maybe plate has threads? At the end of this season I will begin rebidding process and will have more to report then. Let me know what you discover.
