This is a long shot but what the heck...
My wife and I are looking at a number of used Catalina boats in the 35 foot range.  34 mk ii, 36 mk ii, etc.  The only one we have not actually been able to see is the 355.  I discovered in visiting the others that the space inside the cabin in 3D can feel very different from the 2D pix on Yacht Broker.

We live just outside of Boston, and currently the only 355 available anywhere north of Florida on the East Coast is listed at 225K.  I feel a bit uncomfortable wasting the broker's time (a very long trip for him - I happen to know where he lives), when I know I won't purchase that particular boat.  There are other more reasonably priced specimens around the country, but I don't want to bother travelling to Florida or the Great Lakes to look at something if we don't like the boat interior.

My question is if there is any owner on this group in Massachusetts or RI who would be willing to let me peek inside their 355 for 10 minutes or less the next time they are doing work on the hard or otherwise visiting their boat.  (I am frequently in RI because that's where our Pearson 303 is now).  There's a pizza (or whatever you like) in it for you!  Thanks, feel free to private email.

Michael,

Our 355 is in Kansas and is not for sale, so I'm not much help. However, here is a good video of our boat that may help.

If you happen to be coming to the Kansas City area, let me know.

It may come to that.  Ironically, I was just looking at things to do in Kansas City because of a trip I need to take later in the year... Looks like a great town.  But the trip is not at all certain yet.  Thanks for the offer and I'll let you know if it's happening.

Hi Michael,

Sorry for the delay in responding, but we have a C355 in Newburyport, MA that you're welcome to come check out and wander through.  We are down south for the winter and won't be back in the area until mid-april and launch mid-may but anytime after we return would work, although it might be better closer to launch time when it doesn't look like a giant box of disorganized boat parts. :)

Incidentally, we just toured the Catalina Yachts factory today near Largo, Florida and that was fun for me to do.  :)  I'll do it again next year because we didn't get to everything I wanted to see.

We’ll be working on our 355 in Dennis MA beginning the week of 5 May if you’re in the neighborhood.
