Almost two months into our summer aboard, the refrigerator died tonight. It is the Isotherm sealed unit. There is red liquid in the box- is that refrigerant?
Has anyone had this issue? Is there any way to repair it?
I understand that the entire galley has to be disassembled to get at it.
I would appreciate any insight anyone has.

Refrigerant would evaporate almost instantaneously at room temperature and pressure. Red liquid is likely from spillage of something stored in the frig.
Check electrical first. Does the light come on in the refrigerator box when you open the countertop lid?  Is the breaker turned on at the switch panel? etc.
I once opened up the chassis of a stereo amplifier only to find that it wasn't plugged in.  Don't be me.

We have power. Thanks for the tip. It would have been too easy to just change the breaker. The reality is that it is a boat.

Yup.  In the worst case, the red liquid could be compressor oil which was blown out of a hole in the evaporator by escaping refrigerant.
Just hoping for an easier solution.

The evaporator plate can be replaced from the refrigerator box.
You can replace the compressor by removing the stove - the access panel is on the left.
There is no need to remove the counter top!

The stove is heavy.  But, it lifts straight up. Then the drawer beneath the stove and all of its sides and railings just unscrew.  You can then probably find a cutout on the left side to give some access to your electrical control panel.

With all of that, the first and easiest thing to check after you confirm power is the thermostat.  It is removable and at the back of the unit.  Jump the two wires and see if the compressor starts.
