To follow up on this subject.
Efforts to source the bulb from bulbs.com and DrLED.com were not successful, nor was Amazon. Bulbs.com was very helpful and got me to Amazon, even showing me which one to order. Amazon sent me 4 bulbs costing about $18.  It seems that although the base is standard the fact that the pins are not at the same height makes the bulb somewhat unique.  LunaSea no longer makes the bulb but has a new and improved version (see attached photos).  They promptly sent 2 bulbs at a cost of $18.50 each plus shipping.
I finally found someone to go up the mast to install the bulb and it works.
FYI, to install the bulb, pry off the top cap of the fixture.

LunaSea has a website (at least used to) - possibly there’s only one anchor light on there and bulb info?  Or call the company?

My anchor light bulb died.  The only marking on it is "LunaSea", obviously the manufacturer but no model number.
I plan to go to bulbs.com.  Anyone have another source and maybe a model number?

Hi fellow Catalina 355 owners,
Has anyone replaced the anchor light (bulb) on the Catalina 355 recently? Mine stopped working recently. Any suggestions for what's the right way to do this today (considering LED's replacing original incandescent bulbs etc.) ? Catalina Direct seems to recommend  the LED Upgrade, "Navigation Hella Anchor Light, (part #: Z3481)", this fitting with "Anchor Navigation Light 99, (Part #: Z3366)". There's also mention of the "Anchor LED Nav Light for Selden Rigs (Part #: Z5764)". Previous chats (copied here) seem to refer to other LED bulbs. Obviously I don't want to go up the mast & find the parts don't fit / work, so any recommendations from the experts here would be appreciated.
Thanks
Charlie

I replaced mine several years ago. My recollection is that the original was LED. I just replaced the bulb.  If I remember correctly, the top of the fixture pops off or twists off. I did not go up myself but had a young person do it.

Thanks Ken - surprised you didn't do it yourself ... I had thought you were "Forever Young" ... ha.
I assume the bulb was the one in the image below(?). This appears quite different to the one in the Catalina Direct images I referred to so I'm still a bit unsure about which bulb will fit / work(?) ... before sending someone up to check.

Had the same issue 2 seasons ago. Replacing the bulb didn't fix it .... maybe a connector/ continuity  issue in my case.  Since the nast isn't coming out till next season, I opted for a 2nm all-round light going up to the first spreader.  When I change, I will go led route.

You can access the connections by removing the rubber-like tab at the very base of the made.  The connectors should pull out for cleaning and tightening.

As I recall the LunaSea bulb looks familiar.
Forever Young is a mindset. My body does not always follow it. The young woman who went up needed several trips but she worked on a schooner and was strong and accustomed to heights.
