I bought my 355 in 2011, and sold it
in 2018. Hull #54, I think. We live in St. Pete.
We kept noticing saw dust in the starboard shelves over the
settee. Assumed it to be construction dust at first, but it
turned out to be termites. I had the boat hooded and fumigated
to eliminate them, and I gave Gerry Douglas a “heads up”
thinking there might be termites in Catalina’s wood supply.
A couple of days later Frank Butler called me and inquired about
the issue. I told him I had it fixed, and he volunteered to pay
for it, and sent me a check for my cost - $700.
I had a problem with water infiltration into the bow thruster
compartment. Gerry Douglas came to my boat twice, with his
crew, and fixed it.
Originally there was a common problem with getting enough air to
the refrigerator coils. I was notified of the fix - using a
router to open up the back of the settee. I didn’t have a
router, so Gerry brought one to my condo for me to use.
So their follow up service has been pretty good for me.
