Hello Everyone,

As usual, things went to the sleep mode here and I think it's time to nourish this project a little bit.

a related project is being coded now it's called cat-scmp . It's a complete messaging platform for all CAT that is highly flexible to be integrated with many identity management backend as well as our cat-identity project.

the project is now leaded by me, and I suggest to lead this project as well under the commander ship of H4ck3rZ, so if you are still interested in this project please let me know, because it'll take actions myself anyway, so if you want to learn something, please contact me.

Also I think psycho should be highly involved in this project as it will affect newer systems so I don't want to put assumptions without getting back to him as I don't know how things work outside hackers anyway.

The project will be written in Java/Python and I'll use TDD. so it should be easy and fun.....

Sayed said he was working on it, and I wanted to do so in this
vacation, but I hardly see him online
regarding the new project , Java or Python :D ?

I don't know if he is working on one silently but we can use his work as well (If there is any).

as we need high performance and good code readability, I think we will work with Java, but Python is also welcomed at testing part and building GUIs for the system.

I wasn't working on the project ?!
In opposite I said it may be a CAT Project in order to be less sleeping project by converting it to assignment ( like CaTaZine ) to group of members from different foundations; which is also called dream team.
I'm making few rules for that team.. and that's what I'm working on..
Recommended projects for the dream team was 1st CUIMS then the Chat project..

I don't mind your involvement at all but I'm afraid of exactly what happens every time people wait for each other then process as stop no one had a direct and single task..!
+ We didn't have a specific number of members in the project ..

CLEARLY, I think if this projects needs only 2 members please declare them if you want more add them... assignments in other words.
And in order to apply this idea selecting members will not be based on interest .. it'll be based on prior experience.
For people who wants to learn, check out our SVN , read documentation and we may make sessions to declare the status of the work.
What I stated up there is the idea of dream team "projects participation" in brief ..

So my recommendations are
1-To be a CAT AKA "dream team" project which means the team will be "SELECTED" from all CAT foundations which is so close to project status now, except that we may consider other dream team members from pixiCAT.
2-I recommend
Ahmed Soliman to be highly involved
-Giving assignments not general tasks.. based on experience.
-Naming members who should work assign them tasks and work, do not wait for other members.
-Members who are not commited to the project should be replaced.
3-I don't mind being a documentation person, who will also keep track of due dates and report members work in case you are going to use Java.
-In case of using PHP, I think I'll play another role.
4-TDD is highly recommened; dkTalk have a related dkTalk session, if you are interested ya shabab.
5-Technically, wondering why using Java; we will be using configuration files which are already written in PHP .. and we will only make few scripts which will make the 4 forums work like there is no FEDERATED "shared" table, and finally we will have a final script to log in everywhere, and to be able to change your data from one place.
That was the idea I we talked about..?

Wishing that was clear, helpful
Thanks
Salam

Hello again,

I don't mind working with the so called "dream team", I think you should give me more information about them.

Actually my plans for the cat-identity project was to start with the interfaces only, then code later because we might need to have the interfaces ready for the cat-scmp project, but the design is flexible in all ways, so we don't have to wait for the cat-identity project.

I like to think about that project as a highly scalable system I build so I want to build a system that can be easily clustered or distributed over a number of servers with separation of concerns in mind. Thus it has to have a solid architecture.

I alsoo boycotted PHP because of Zend, I don't do PHP anymore as I believe that using a programming language in a project means that you are marketing for it and Zend is Israelli company.

Java or Python would be the choice then, and again the project is not about getting the websites working together only! it's about extensibility, that's why I put many things in my mind like the high availability stuff and cross-platform communication.

I also hate Zend, using same theory we should migrate all of our systems to another tool ..!
I have a plan B anyway, and it'll not change the main idea so much.
