ICAI should give more opportunity to women: Khurshid
Corporate Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid on 1st july asked
accounting regulator ICAI to give more opportunity to women in the
chartered accountancy profession. Addressing the 62nd Foundation Day
celebration of the ICAI, which falls under the aegis of the MCA,
Khurshid said, "Like in Parliament, there should be 33 per cent
reservation forwomen too in the profession.
ICAI should work on giving more opportunity to women." He further said
that chartered accountants have brought great laurels to India and the
nation is very proud of such an outstanding institution.
Every year, the 1st of July is celebrated as the Foundation Day of
