Hey guys. I would like to host my friend Sammies birthday party at redskull saturday June 22nd at 7:00. It will be a potluck/bonfire and dancing night. Just making sure its okay with everyone. It will be way classier than cinco de mayo just FYI hahah.

My friend Margaret is flying in from DC to stay with me the following weekend, from Friday night to Wednesday morning, and I was planning on having her stay in my room--any objections? I know it's a little longer stay than most visitors, but she's pretty unobtrusive and we won't be around too much...(Related: does anyone have an air mattress?)

Also, I'd love it if it were a house policy to a) ask about largish parties/events/dinners via this email list and b) give a heads up about visiting friends or relatives, just so we can all be aware of what's going on and speak up in advance if there are any issues.

I have been harping on the importance of cleaning up utensils/stray dishes/ cleaning countertop where you ate. These ants are truly the workers of the devil himself. These are probably scouts but
if word gets back to a colony these will be swarming by the millions and will get into EVERYTHING. Last time I fought a three month battle to get them
out and instated the "clean everything every time no matter what" rule. The kitchen has been getting pretty lax, so seriously clean up after yourself 100%.

Ahhhhh what is even in that picture. Also, as part of cleaning everything all the time, I think it's a good idea to clean the sink after washing dishes--it's gross, but it's even grosser to be cleaning other people's food remnants out. And if you use the blendtec, please make sure you've cleaned it well, including the lid--it was sticky and there was weird brown stuff inside the last time I used it after someone else had. 

Also also, I think Ryan still isn't on this list because I don't have his email. If someone has it and sends it to me I'll add him...

JP--I have ant-killing powder somewhere, let me know if you want to use it.

ok so ryan just came in and left the backdoor open while the dogs were out so i mentioned that you guys had emailed about open doors/bugs and asked how opposed he was to being the email list, and he says very much opposed and absolutely doesn't want to be on it, so i guess just fyi to everyone that it's worth verbally reiterating messages to ryan if you post something here that you want the whole house to know? everyone else is def on this list, though.
