Hello Ladies:

Hope you all had great Thanksgiving weekend!

My little one Anya is going through Separation Anxiety at night and
wakes up every hour. Has anyone of you dealt with this and How?

We are exhausted and sleep deprived. Please share your thoughts.

Thank you in advance for your inputs.

Deepthi.

Deepthi,
I can totally understand what u r going through. Narayan is also doing the same thing. It is very exhausting and I also feel bad for the baby. I started to put him to bed along my side. Earlier he used to sleep in the crib. We tried several things, like changing places of sleep, time of sleep, feedings, etc. There is nothing That seems to help. It's been 2 months now. So now I just tu to keep calm and I hold him or pat him when he cries at night. Sometimes he is back to sleep on few mons and sometimes it takes upto 1-2 hrs.
However, my husband and I take turns now, that has helped immensely for me to catch up on my sleep.
I wish I could tell you some straightforward remedy but I guess we just need to wait out this phase.
I hope this will get better.
At least u r not alone :)
Take care,
Shilpi

Deepthi,

Sachin also has the same. I will put him in crib once he is slept. After one or two hours he will start crying. After that i will take him from the crib and pat him and will put him along my side. He sleeps good. Try that way. Lets see if it works. :)

Thank You for the information Shilpi. We tried the same things like sleep routine, feeding, etc. Its been a month since she slept peacefully. We put her in her crib at night but after 1-2hrs when she wakes up we put her to bed along my side. Few months back we tried CIO method when she wasnt sleeping thru night. It worked wonders back then. I tried the same thing this time but didnt work and it made it worse. I guess I have to wait out phase as you said.

Happy Journey and have a safe flight. Keep us posted on how Narayan is doing. I am guessing he will start walking by the time you come back.

Have great & RELAXED vacation
