Hi guys,

now that we're moving to .NET 4.5, it probably would be a good idea to upgrade to TeamCity 7.1

Any reasons not to?

We're running an over 1yo version currently

Who's managing TeamCity licenses? Do we have a license that's valid with v7.1?

Hi,

Our license is valid until the 9th of May 2013 and should cover any version that is released before that date.

Hi,

How did we install the TeamCity on the server?

It doesn't seem to have been done with the standard Windows installer, and I can't see Windows Service for TeamCity (only for the agent).

I was trying to upgrade it to the latest version but this looks unlike what I expected and I don't want to break anything.

If there's no windows service, my guess would be its installed from a war file into an existing J2EE container.... should be just a matter of downloading a new war file and deploying it...

There should be a windows service there somewhere for the container in that case e.g. apache tomcat.

Cheers,

Alex

I had a look at the server, but given I have no experience with tomcat and I'm not familiar with the configuration of the server and our TC installation I decided not to try to upgrade it myself, since the likelihood of my breaking something would be quite high.

Henry, any chance you can do the upgrade anytime soon, or if not, send me an email about how the tomcat is set up, if there's anything else but TeamCity running on it, and if we've made any configuration changes to TeamCity (like external database etc).
