This is just a basic question. Recently I took policy, where I have been asked to fill the details of Full Name as per aadhar. Conventionally we use our name as First Name and Surname as Last Name in every form/application we fill. But in my aadhar, it is given my surname followed by my name(which has 2 words). I'm not sure what I have to fill in which fields. I know this is very basic question, but I don't want to take any risk which could happen at the time of Claim? Would it really matters if we give order of our name incorrect?
In the application, I have been asked to fill in the order First Name Middle Name Last Name as per the aadhar. Should I give as SURNAME RAVI SHEKAR or SURNAME SHEKAR RAVI? He is called as Ravi primarily, but I given his Ravi as middle name, it doesn't make sense. I'm in total confusion. One more thing, website is not allowing multiple words in fields. Could you please answer my question with the above example? Is it that much important to consider the order?
AFAIK, it shouldn't be problem at all. I've customer with more name complications like drastic spelling changes (Mundhra vs Mundada), different surnames (eg. Siddula vs Siddulashetty) and spellings in different ID proofs, etc. but I rarely faced an issue. Even if there were any concerns raised during claim, you can always do a self declaration along with supporting ID proofs.
One may have to file an Affidvait duly notorised for name change in case of major mismatch between the name as per policy document and other id proof. However, it is advisable in your case to get the name corrected in your Aadhaar card to match the name in correct order ie First Name Middle Name Last Name so that you need not face any challenges just in case there is a claim in future.
In all my IDs and legal documents, my father's name is used as my middle name. Now I don't mind if it is there or not, I just don't want it to cause any issues in the future. Recently I got a new job and was filling up a form for background verification but the website would not let me proceed further unless the first name and last name combined match with the name as per Aadhar card. So to workaround this I had to enter my first name as first name + father's name. So to prevent such issues I was wondering if I could remove my father's name from all IDs.
My income tax refund has failed. I have received an email as such. The issue is that my bank account name is under aadhar which has a middle name while the pan card name has initial and the ITD has no middle name.
Okay simple solution is that you should update your pan name as per your correct document as well as bank account. Then after rectifying all this you should proceed for re-issue of refund. It will be convenient for now and then.
Yeah spoke to them via contact us. They said no need to change pan name or ITD name. They have some glitch and said 48hours later a refund reissue request can be made. Currently there are some glitches it seems
