Hello, I need help! I am trying to run NO_TCL = 1 ./configure to install OMNet ++ 4.6 however it is returning an error:

configure: error: No C++ compiler found -- one is required to build OMNeT++/OMNEST, and also for model development.

Only when running gcc --version returns: gcc (Ubuntu 4.8.5-4ubuntu8) 4.8.5
g ++ --version returns: g ++ (Ubuntu 4.8.5-4ubuntu8) 4.8.5
Could someone help me or indicate the solution to this error?
Thanks
