installation Castalia 3.2 Ubuntu 12.04

Hello,

I installed the Castalia this week in my school in Ubuntu 12.04, and I'd like to write how I solved some commons problems with the CastaliaResults (Error during startup: No user interface (Cmdenv, Tkenv, etc.)) and xml's file (example leach protocol) after this installation.

So, first I installed the libxml2 - sudo apt-get install libxml2-dev (to use XML's files), and  I change the configure.user's file in the  ommnetpp's directory: the line LDFLAGS="" to LDFLAGS="-Wl,-no-as-needed" ( I uncommitted it too )

then I did the common installation:

I wrote the environment variables in bashrc's file :

export PATH=$PATH:~/omnetpp-4.1/bin

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=~/omnetpp-4.1/lib

then I re-installed ommnet 4.1:

NO_TCL=1 ./configure

make

and Castalia:

./makemake

make

Dear Roza

I am facing the same problem. I have installed OMNET 4.1, but when I typed omnetpp
I got the following errors:
(process:4101): Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by C library

(process:4101): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
    Using the fallback 'C' locale.

(omnetpp:4101): Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by C library


Could you please help me.

I think the problem is because you are using OpenJDK instead Oracle Java. This is default in ubuntu. If you are planing to use Castalia, so you won't need to boring about this. If you are planing to use omnet, the best forum to ask is not here, but you can find how to use Oracle JDK instead OpenJDK in ubuntu, try to search for this.
