Dear friends,

I am a university student in Brazil, and I'm having a hard time creating a simple simulation of two nodes communicating using the TMAC protocol in OMNeT and Castalia platform. My knowledge in C + + language is low, but I'm studying the examples, making changes.

Where I can get a simple T-MAC simulation example ?

Basically I need to simulate two nodes exchanging information in a timeline 10s. Then I need to show graphically, and then generate reports. Already partially read the tutorial but still do not understand how to build this little simulation.

Sorry for my poor english.

Moises,

There are some substantial examples in the Castalia manual that may guide you when creating WSN scenarios. There you will see how to define sensor nodes, their protocols and basic configurations, along with configurations of the simulation process.

In order to test T-MAC operation, specify it as the MAC protocol to be considered. It can be done as a simple command in a single line. Once again, check the manual.

You can use T-MAC with default parameters or configure parameters as sleeping time and synchronization.

Hope I have helped.

Regards,
Daniel

Dear Daniel,

Very good, I will follow the suggestion.

I lost a lot of time trying to run the patterns located in Castalia / src / nodes / comunications / mac / tmac within OMNeT directory. Initially we performed some examples of OMNeT own, but I did not succeed in opening the TMAC.NED OMNeT model.

Reading the tutorial I see that the simulation only by Castalia does not display animated graphics, creates only outputs text to be analyzed and generating reports for CastaliaPlot. I also saw the prof. Boulis answer in another topic that has not OMNeT IDE integration with Castalia (About Castalia OMNeT + + IDE on topic ---).

Thanks for lot,
