Background
ARUWE is a registered Charitable Trust (Regd. 777/2000) run by a group of committed social work professionals who are concerned about the welfare of destitute elderly, pavement dwellers, women/girls in crisis and disadvantaged children. Right now, they operate on the terrace of building with a few small rooms. You can see pictures of their current building here. This place tends to get flooded during the rainy season, hence making the place unusable. (Read more about Aruwe on their website)
Current Need
Aruwe wants to convert their 1st floor into a single hall so kids can study without having to worry about rain. The project involves putting up the required support beams, a roof over the 1st floor (1200 sqft) and raising walls. Supporters have so far provided or promised the cement and blue metal for the project. What is still needed is listed below.
Items Needed
Bricks 106,800
Sand 148,000
Rods & rings 75,000
Building Labour 285,120
Painting 51,000
Electric work 27,000
Plumbing 6,000
Building permit 40,000
TOTAL 738,920
What Aruwe has right now is Rs 60,000! We request you to please pray about this. If you feel lead to contribute to Aruwes needs, you can contribute in kind or in cash (see details below). All donations can get the benefits of Income Tax exemption as per section 80G of the Indian Income Tax Act.
The projected is kicking off in faith on 1st October which is only a few days away. So please consider this request URGENT!
