The Apache Software Foundation and the Apache HTTP Server Project arepleased to announce the release of version 2.3.9 of mod_fcgid, a FastCGIimplementation for Apache HTTP Server versions 2.2 and 2.4. Thisversion of mod_fcgid is a security release.

It consists of a command line terminal calledmintty, bash, version control systems like git andsubversion, tools like tar and awk and even build systems like autotools, allbased on a modified version of Cygwin. To provide easy installation of packages and a way to keep them updated itfeatures a package management system calledPacman, which should be familiarto Arch Linux users. It brings many powerful features such as dependencyresolution and simple complete system upgrades, as well as straight-forward andreproducible package building. Automatic upgrades from previous 2.53.x versions are enabled for thisrelease, but if you have problems with it please download the full installerfrom the downloads section and install SeaMonkey 2.53.18.2 manually over theprevious version.

2.53.18 will be an incremental update on the 2.53.x branch and incorporates anumber of enhancements, changes and fixes to the application as well as thosefrom the underlying platform code. Support for parsing and processing newerregexp expressions has been added helping with web compatibility on more than afew sites. Crash reporting has been switched over toBugSplat. We also added many fixes andbackports for overall platform stability.
Before installing the new version make a full backup ofyour profile and thoroughly read and follow theRelease Notes. We encouragetesters to get involved in discussing andreporting problems as well as further improving the product.
Attention macOS users! The current SeaMonkey release crashes during startupafter upgrading to macOS 13 Ventura. Until we have a fix we advise you not toupgrade your macOS installation to Ventura. No usable crash information isgenerated and this might take a bit longer than usual to fix. This is not aproblem with Monterey 12.6.1 or any lower supported macOS version so might evenbe an Apple bug.

The MapWindow GIS project includes a free and open source desktop geographic information system (GIS) with an extensible plugin architecture, a GIS ActiveX control, and C# GIS programmer library called DotSpatial. We would be happy to have you join our project.
MapWindow4, MapWindow5 and MapWinGIS are connected with each other and have their own team of developers. DotSpatial and HydroDesktop are also connected and have their own team.
The MapWindow project is managed by volunteers and supported by donations.

Free and open source software (FOSS) holds numerous compelling advantages for businesses, some of them even more valuable than the software's low price. In general, open source software gets closest to what users want because those users can have a hand in making it so. It's not a matter of the vendor giving users what it thinks they want - users and developers make what they want, and they make it well.
