Note 2:Stayed on the bank of Kabini river recently for a couple of days. It was a lot of fun in general esp for kids and esp kayaking. I'd learnt different kinds of boating including kayaking in Honnemaradu earlier ( http://notes.msanjay.in/entry/adventurers-in-honnemaradu)
Last time I'd tried this then was 2004 ... 10 years ago... Still it felt like I'd done it yesterday :) All alone in the vast expanse of water it was really peaceful beyond words.
I made several trips over long distances. At one time it also rained heavily - truly in the elements, water above, below, and everywhere around!
We're speculating going to Honnemaradu again from Oct 22nd to Oct 25th night arriving in Blr on 26th i.e. Sunday morning (idea is to travel by night train - which is currently WaitListed in all categories, hence only a speculation)
If you're want to consider joining, do let me know.
If the response is sufficient I'll get back to you - if you don't hear back from me you can assume that it isn't happening! ;) That's fine but if you like we can maybe plan something more in advance in future.
Cheers,
Sanjay
Note 1: Somebody's photos of Honnemaradu over here...

(not mine, I seem to have lost my own pics, but well better to see the real one! :) I had captured among other clicks a spectacular red sunrise trekking on top of a hill before dawn, and later posted it in HP internal newsgroup. It had led to a tremendous response, which resulted in a photography group. Did it play a role or not I don't know but definitely highlighted Sudhir Shivaram's capabilities, who later on became a mainstream photographer http://sudhirshivaram.com )
