[Attachment(s) from Prasanna Vynatheya included below]Dear Friends of Cassia,
Few of us from Cassia have gone on treks & camping a few years back but since then we have only been telling each other about doing more of it but never got to it so far. Hence we are thinking about a day out on Sunday Sep 7th.
We have planned a day trip to a place which offers a mix of forest and some place to sit and have lunch. We have a place in mind which is about 40 kms from Hosur and is a forest as well (Part of Eastern Ghats). Of course we need to get right permissions to enter the Reserve Forest.
So please do let us know if you are interested in such an outing. Have included two pictures of the place which is south of Bangalore. Please note that we can only take about 5 to 6 car load of people and as such those responses that come first will be accommodated this time.
Start time; 6:30 am on Sunday the 7th SepReturn: Before 7 pm unless popular demand to stay back a bit.Breakfast: En-route at Hosur or so. there is a small place that serves yummy dosas, vada, idlis, pongal etc.
Luchh: Packed Chappathis, sabji and curd rice (unless some one has other ideas)Tea/Coffee with biscuits and perhaps some plum cake or so.Cost to factor in: All the above plus charges for the Forest place and a small donation of Rs.100/ per family to Kenneth Anderson Nature Society on a voluntary basis.
Request one of the ladies to take the initiative regarding food.Normal cars can make it.Signed by Giri - 1305 / Prasanna C-1407
