Dear CASPA officers and advisors, we have established the linkedin group and now have 59 members. It's time for us to organize some event. I am looking for ideas. Please feel free to share.

Lunch, brunch,BBQ, professional lectures (invite someone in some area to address a speach), etc.

Perhaps you could start with a survey, see what is in members' mind? e.g. career,  entrepreneurship, education, networking, or just entertainment, etc. We can go from there. I recommend that leveraging this platform for "外联内和“， perhaps some joint events with local community/corporates.

Thanks for your suggestions. I would like to organize a networking dinner event by the end of this month. 

Here is the details:

Time:   tentatively 6PM on 10/29 Tuesday

Location: Pok-E-Jo's BBQ at Parmer lane http://www.pokejos.com/parmer-lane  . This restaurant has a private room equipped with a projector. I believe they do not charge fee for using the room as long as everyone order food from them.

Price:    we will cover the food from our funding

Agenda:  I will show some slides introducing CASPA. Officers and Advisors then take turn introduce themselves. Most of time will be just simple networking while having dinner. We will seek feedback on what the members would like us to organize as well.

Need help:

someone to make reservation at the restaurant and help registration on site.

It will be great if we can invite someone give some interesting technical/business talk at this event as well. 

This is our first event, so please make your best effort to attend. If you have any suggestions please let me know.
