Vegas Trip Report Day 2 8g88

Hello,Bellagio tourney day 2.

I puked all over my plate at  Online Casino Malaysia    before this tourney started and it was quite nasty. I did not feel well and couldnt sleep the night before. I donk drink so it wasnt that.

Well after all that nastiness I decide to play the tourney anyway because even at 75% capacity I would surely own.

I go into the game with the same mentality of just playing position.

The feild is about half the size this day. I quickly reailze there is only 2 players from the day before in the tourney this day. Out of a felid of 84, and then 48 only 2 were the same. The reason for this I guess is that different donks won the satellites that day. I was right.

The difference was I was getting real hands this day. I got AA, AK , JJ, AQs all in the first 10 hands.

When raising so much at the beginning players were saying “you got a hand everytime, keep raising buddy” and I did keep getting hands so i kept raising.

Then there was a very odd hand, a player re-raised another player all in and the first player called. The re-raiser shows A9 and the caller shows A8. I just look up to the sky and thank the poker gods that donks like this find ther way to $500 buy-in tourneys. This was on the second level of play to put in in perspective, blinds were 50-100 and there stacks were in the 4000 range. So the player with A8 hits his 8 and takes down the pot

So after this hand I get a KK, and I make a raise, this same A8 player re-raises me all in, I instacall, he flips over J10, and 2 10s on the board mean GG for me.

For the best anyway as I felt like a bag of shit.

Vegas Trip Report Jan 2022 - Day1

Hello Everyone,I flew into Vegas and stayed there for a few days before getting on a plane for down under and the Aussie Millions.

I used this time to sharpen my live game by playing the daily Bellagio $540 buy in.

Here is a recap of how it went.

DAY 1 - Sunday

There were 84 entrants, 1st was 13k and 9 places paid.

Right off the bat I am surprised at how bad the level of play is.

Everybody was limping heavily with weak hands. It seemed like my whole table just “wanted to see the flop”. It felt like a 5-10 limit game.

I couldnt beleive that the daily Bellagio tourney had such a weak feild. But then when talking to the players I realized that over 85% of them won satellite to get in. I also realized that a bunch of players were tourists from the CAS electronics show and really were just there to donk there chips.

My gameplan was to raise big whenever I had position and there would be be 3 or 4 limpers. The cards didnt matter. I raised on the button or the spot beside it wiht hands like 9-3, 8-2 and you get the picture, I was playing the players and the position and the cards didnt matter. Not to mention I was not dealt any good hands, and was very card dead.

It was working like a charm, and I actually took down nearly every pot when I made this move, and nearly had the oppurtunity to do it every time. They just let me keep doing it over and over. They would all fold pre-flop. Or one player would call and then fold to my continuation bet on the flop.

I never made a hand better then 2 pr the entire tournament, and seen maybe 2 flops and 1 showdown which was a split pot ( my 2 pr hand) A10 against A10 on a a10xxx board.

Despite not winning 1 showdown the entire tournament and not making a hand better then 2 pr the whole time, I found myself with an average stack with 15 players left, which i built from pure pre-flop stealing.

It was actually comical how bad some of them were, On 3 consecutive hand I raised 3x bb to 1200 when they were 200-400, and there were 2 players on the other side of the table smirking ang laughing with each other each time i would do it, one of them said to the other, “what a dumb bet he does, risking too many chips, why bet over $1000 ?” (the standard raise at this point for them was 800 the minumum, although those same donkeys were raising 6 times the blind on the first level the 1 out of 20 hands they didnt limp. lol.

When it got down this low, the play was a little bit better. Ther was one other player at my table that seemed to be employing the same type of aggressive pre-flop strategy.

Either me or him raised almost every hand pre-flop, he was about 4 spots to my left. He had me covered just slightly. He was also playing back at me and re-raising when I raised and he was in the BB.

I then pick up 10-10 when he is in the BB, so I raise 3 times to BB, to 1200, he raises me all in for 17k. He had just done this all in re-raise last time i raised and he was in BB. Last time I didnt have a hand. This time I had 10-10 so I think about what he could pop me with. I figure he could pop we here with any pair 55 or better and AJ, AQ or better.

He seemed to want to just take it down right there and not see a flop so i narrowed it down to a pair. Was his pair lower or higher then my 10-10 ?

That was the question. I thought about it, and there was more lower pairs he would push with then higher pairs 55,66.77.88.99 as opposed to JJ,QQ,KK,AA. Then I thought that if he had AA he wouldnt have went all in but probably smooth called and let me make a continuation bet. So with that I call, and he flips over JJ and good game me in 15th place.
