Questions from Sidharth Jha
I have a couple of concerns:
1. There is no provision for the composition of the committee when someone who would ordinarily be on the committee is the alleged offender. Eg. If the registrar is facing a complaint, it is unclear who will take his place on CASH.
2. The composition should be a minimum of 5 women, not 5 women.
3. What happens if the proceedings exceed two months? What remedies are available to the aggrieved person in this case? We all know how NALSAR committees function.
4. Why is the aggrieved person only "encouraged" to maintain secrecy, and why is there no obligation for the same? I'm referring to the exception mentioned in Section IX, point xviii.
5. This is more of a clarification. Upon reading this I assume that sexual harassment is gender neutral?
Thanks
