TheiPhone APN Changer is a website to allow people to automate APN (Access Point Names) on iPhones when Apple does not include these settings on the phone. These APN Settings allow access to Mobile Data.
This website does not carrier unlock iPhones. Some Carriers will ask Apple to carrier lock their phones to restrict access to use other carriers (for legitimate reasons). Most carriers will allow you to pay a fee (or just ask) to carrier unlock iPhone.
My Settings are wrong - With over 1000+ Carriers listed I may have a number of settings wrong. If you have installed and data is not working, go to your Carriers website and look up the settings (or email me). Please then forward these settings to
ad...@unlockit.co.nz so I can update the settings on my website.

If you think a settings is wrong please let me know and preferably give me a link to the correct settings from the Carriers website. There are lots of other lists of APN Settings randomly on the net and quite a few of them are incorrect so I really need the correct ones.
I would have loved a iPhone 6 PLUS one when other people can get them (Hint Apple or anyone else who wants to sell me one at non-extortion rates) ? but they seem to missed out New Zealand for their initial release a couple of days ago.
A number of people when choosing the country the alignment was not correct on iOS 8. This was due to a bug in the framework I was using and has been resolved now. If anyone notices any other problems please let me know.
www.unlockit.co.nz does not jailbreak/crack/hack or anything your iPhone. It sets APN (Data Settings) on your iPhone when the ability is hidden when using third party SIM Cards . If your iPhone is Carrier locked ,
www.unlockit.co.nz will not Carrier unlock your iPhone. We use a standard API to set the APN Settings as documented by Apple.
Over the last 6 months we have added/changed a large number of Carriers and have around 1000 Carriers listed from around the world. These carrier settings sometimes change so let me know if any of the settings need changing (and let me know what the changes are)
If you are interested in advertising on
www.unlockit.co.nz please contact me. We have over 60000 unique iPhone users per day visiting us . A great opportunity if you want to get your product/idea/message across to these users.
If you have the incorrect APN for a mobile network then you will not be able to access any internet from your device. Every mobile network has different APN Settings and may be different even on different plans on the same mobile carrier.
Now this explains the problem. As there are over 1000 mobile companies around the world including MVNO (Virtual Carriers) each of those carriers has different APN Settings needed to access internet from the Android, iPhone or whatever other phone a person has.
There are a large number of websites which have APN settings on them but they are usually not updated a lot (or not at all) , largely wrong, so this website was set up to list all these APN and make it easy for iPhones (and others) to get them into their devices. It is usually updated every week with new settings, changes and fixes.
on your computer and do the same and it will list the settings as well for you to enter. If your carrier is not listed please let me know and I can investigate the correct settings and get them added in.
if if you need to change the APN settings you can go to
unlockit.co.nz select create APN and choose your country and carrier. This will download and install a provisioning profile with the correct APN settings.
Hello All, Thanks for offering your ideas. Like Giorgio, in 'cellular' under the settings, the 'cellular data network' is not there; it's just a cellular on/off slide. that being said. imodztech had suggested a utility found at
unlockit.co.nz. It didn't work for me off the get go, however emailing the admin directly resulted in being advised to use Safari when accessing the site from the device itself. By the time I read this response the carrier had already sent me an alternate SIM; which I subsequently inserted and it worked. Thanks to all who assisted me here.
A family member recently switched to PM and can't get their data to work on their Iphone 4. From what I've read they need to use
www.unlockit.co.nz to install the proper APN setting, but when they go to the site and begin following the steps they are asked for a 4-digit passcode. Does anyone no what passcode they are referring to?
@ninaboo The 4 digit PIN is likely the PIN you set up to unlock the phone. Just to confirm, as you have likely done it correctly, the procedure is to the connect the iPhone to wifi, use Safari to connect to unlockit, follow the prompts to install the APN for Public Mobile.
You are correct! I thought that's what it would be but for some reason it kept saying it was incorrect, so then I couldn't think of what it would be. After the fourth attempt at putting in the same passcode ( I know I was doing it the same each time as I have witnesses ) it accepted it and the cellular data is now working on the phone. Thanks!
Having spoken to chatlive every day for a week with no solution and having the same converstion every day I was having a minor panic as no mobile data for week , and no help from IDMobile accept they will refer it to the tech team.
I knew my problem was the APN settings but had no access to the APN setting on my IPHONE as for some reason with IDmobile you dont have this option, this is a problem for many people and IDMobile are fully aware of the issue but will not acknowledge that this is a problem they need to resolve.
I tried the www.
unlockit.co.nz despite comments saying the server no longer existed, but this was the last option. OMG it worked!!! The relief. I know this issue with roaming is a major issue for many with IDMobile so I think it is about time that IDMobile accepted that this is their issue, and not the phone or Apple or anyone else.
