Friends of CASE-
The call for proposals and discounted early registration are still open for the 2020 CASE Conference, but for only one more week! The conference takes place on Friday, Feb. 28, at the Chicago History Museum, but the deadline for proposals/early registration is December 20.
Also, please do your part to spread word about the conference through social media.
Here is an overview of this year's theme:
It is commonly acknowledged that the history of the United States and the history of immigration are inextricably linked. In the last 10 years, this relationship has taken on new and sometimes alarming dimensions. This year’s CASE Conference will focus on the NOW, the present lives and experiences of migrants and refugees as they navigate their way into and through the American civil society. Of course this also means we will reach into our curricula and pedagogy for ways to teach the complexities of the moment.
Early registration:
If you prefer to pay by check, click on "Show other payment options” when you reach the Eventbrite page. Also note there is small processing fee added to this price. CPS teachers can register for a discounted fee this year.
Conference fee includes: keynote speaker/program, breakout sessions, continental breakfast and luncheon, and time to meet with fellow American Studies teachers.
We will be able to offer CPDUs for the conference this year.
