Do you now what will happen in August?

Best,

Päivi told me it's not a big deal if you postpone to August. the important thing is to present a strong output.
She also  told that we all know that this deadline is not suitable to do everything in time. I wonder why they prepared this schedule !
I wish Good luck for all.

Hi all,

I guess you have seen this announcement (I am not sure if I have already sent it here also), but Anita asked me to inform you about this guest lecture, since it is of relevance for research methodology.

The lecture will be on Monday, 18th April, 13.15, room M1049.

The title of the lecture is: 'A new Skin For the Old Ceremony (with apologies to Leonard Cohen)' OR 'Who designs designers?'

Dave is a Principal Lecturer in the department of sociology at Manchester Metropolitan University.  For the last twenty years he has written and researched on the relationship between qualitative sociological methods (including ethnography) and design issues. He has written four books and approximately 100 refereed journal articles and conference papers. He has investigated areas such as Air Traffic Control; Emergency service work; educational use of IT; ontology-building by bio-informaticians museums;  computer gaming; Smart homes; mobile phone use and more generally into ethnographic practice.
