Then, late last year, Twitch decided to get a little more relaxed about the whole thing by permitting "artistic nudity" on the platform. This lasted 48 hours before Twitch decided actually, no, no wait, nevermind, that was a bad move, and shut the whole thing down.

Following that, in what I can only describe as a divine act of creative inspiration, streamer Morgpie (thanks, Kotaku) has levelled up her game. Her butt is a green screen. Humankind and machine drift ever-closer, like Icarus donning wax wings to soar close to the sun.

Firstly, the aspect ratio here is terrible. Not only can Morgpie's viewers not see half of her screen, but several vital UI elements are blocked off by the framing used. The optimum FOV for third-person shooters is rendered completely useless, completely destroying any sense of situational awareness vital to the core gameplay loop of any good battle royale. Secondly, the giant anime girl doing a sexy dance that shows up completely obliterates, I'd estimate, about 30% of the already-suffering screen real estate.

Granted, Morgpie isn't suffering from this herself. You can clearly see in the footage that she is using a standard monitor, but I still think she's setting a poor example for the next generation: We cannot let the gaming public be led to believe that the most efficient way to play a game is by green-screening your own ass, it's simply lunacy.

Alana, also known as Green Ghost, was a superheroine whose had the ability to change her density. Her origin of her powers were from an unknown green rock that would change her form into an intangible, green entity. She replaced the original Green Ghost and was a member of the Guardians of the Globe until they were all betrayed and killed by Omni-Man.

Not much is known about Alana's origin, however what is known is that Alana isn't the first Green Ghost, with the first mantle of "Green Ghost" being held by an unknown male. At some point prior to the events of the show, Alana replaced the old Green Ghost and joined the Guardians of the Globe, she would also marry a man by the name of Theo.

Green Ghost was called upon along with the other Guardians of the Globe to protect the White House and the President from a sudden attack by the Mauler Twins. Amidst the chaos, an explosion over the White House results in rubble falling over a few bystanders standing near the entrance of the building. Green Ghost stepped in and used her power of intangibility to render the children in the area unharmed, with one of them being rendered intangible by the touch of the Green Ghost's toe. As she removed the children from the rubble, Red Rush aided Green Ghost by taking them to safety, while ordering Green Ghost to save the President, which she did.

After evacuating all the civilians and military personnel, Green Ghost assembled with the rest of the Guardians to assist in defeating the Mauler Twins. She used her powers to lower the Twins into the pavement, immobilizing them and setting them up for consecutive attacks from her teammates. Eventually, the Guardians successfully defeated the Twins, who were subsequently imprisoned by the Global Defense Agency.

Green Ghost was in her standard civilian identity, Alana, during a photo session with a model, when her wristband went off signaling an alert. Alana quickly stated the photo session was over before rushing off while swallowing a green amulet. After transforming into Green Ghost, she quickly flew away towards the Guardians HQ.

After the arrival of the last Guardian member, Darkwing, Green Ghost, and the other Guardians discovered they were tricked into meeting at their HQ. It was revealed that Omni-Man was the one who signaled the alert as a bait in order to attack the Guardians all at once. After a brief struggle, Omni-Man was able to grab Red Rush by the head, and slowly began to squeeze it. Green Ghost and the other Guardians rushed to Save their friend, but they could only watch in utter horror as Omni-Man crushed Red Rush's head between his palms.

A violent fight ensued, resulting in Martian Man, War Woman, and The Immortal being injured. Darkwing attempted to attack, but was brutally countered and murdered by Omni-Man after being violently slammed against the ground twice. Darkwing's corpse was hurled towards Green Ghost, who became shocked and distraught, catching her colleague's deceased body in her hands. This provided an opening for Omni-Man to swiftly thrust his hand through Green Ghost's head and kill her instantly. Omni-Man briefly used her body as a shield against Aquarus' water blast. Eventually, Omni-Man managed to brutally murder the remaining Guardians, before himself collapsing due to exhaustion and the injuries he suffered during the fight.

After the Global Defense Agency arrived at the gruesome aftermath of the battle, the paramedics team quickly identified Green Ghost's body, with one of the them in shock after seeing a part of her brain splattered across the floor. Her name was mentioned in Omni-Man's eulogy along with the names of her other deceased colleagues.

Alana's human form was an African-American woman with chin-length dreadlocks and brown eyes. She also wore a blue top, solid pink trousers with light pink sneakers, and yellow glasses. While in her superhero form, she retains her figure albeit being entirely green. Like all the other Guardians, Green Ghost wore a piece of equipment resembling a wristband that would signal an alert anytime her or any of the other Guardians were needed in action, however it was only worn outside of her superhero form.

Green Ghost was selfless, caring and heroic much like the other guardians. She would often have fights with her husband about their relationship and if it should've been public or not, despite this they seemingly still cared for each other, with her death deeply affecting him. Green Ghost also showed empathy towards her allies, being in shock after seeing what Omni-Man had done to her friends, even turning tangible to grab Darkwing's corpse after it got thrown in her direction.

Chroma key (also called "chroma keying" or just "keying" for short) is the technical term for what most of us usually call "green screen." With the chroma key technique, you can set a particular hue to be "keyed out" of camera footage, allowing you to replace it with something else: another color, a pattern, a background image, video footage, etc.

There are a few simple tips to make your green screen video come out better: use even lighting from multiple angles, wear high-contrast colors, and avoid hard lights that cast strong shadows. As much as possible, keep your background screen smooth and free from wrinkles or other surface imperfections.

Beyond the backdrop screen itself, the secret to a professional-looking effect is to use a high-quality editor for the background removal step. WeVideo gives you a big-budget, studio-level result with just a few clicks, and you don't need any video editing or photo editing experience. Try out our video editor for yourself!

There are actually specific shades of green, blue and red that have been determined to be optimal for the process. Manufacturers of chromakey products have zeroed in on these colors and created a variety of products to help you produce the best effects possible (though again, red is all but nonexistent these days). Green screen materials can consist of paint, cloth, paper or cardboard, and more, each with its own benefits and quirks. It is also common for people on a limited budget to make their own green screen backgrounds out of consumer-ready material. Take a look at what chromakey materials are out there and contrast them with some popular homemade counterparts.

Probably the go-to system when one thinks of a chromakey effect, fabric backdrops are a great balance of durability, quality and versatility. Green screen cloth is easily stretched across an adjustable frame and can be positioned or carried as needed. The right fabric offers the perfect balance of reflection without glare, which will minimize lighting headaches big time.

Fabric is more durable than other options, and ages well. It can be sized and shaped simply by folding, and can be draped over objects for concealment. It is, however, prone to wrinkles, whose dark lines can be a big headache. Professional green screen fabric is often comprised of a thick cotton or cotton/muslin blend on a foam backing (think neoprene or felt). It is more resistant to creases than a generic fabric, and great care is taken to dye the fabric evenly. Most fabrics are washable, but permanent staining is always a risk.

We know, in this area you do-it-yourselfers are set, right? Match the swatch at the local paint store to the professional color key paint and save some money. After all, paint is paint, right? Be aware though that you may find yourself laying down multiple coats to get the same vibrancy as specialized green screen paint from a company like Rosco. You also might notice a difference in reflectivity when lighting. That is unless you spring for a more expensive brand of consumer paint. Again though, at what point do you just give up and spring for the real deal?
