One of life's great mysteries (or at least Cascalog's)

This is more of a curiosity than anything else, but it's something I've always wondered about. When a Cascalog query executes that has multiple MapReduce jobs why does it run those jobs seemingly out of order. For example, I'll have a query that results in 4 MR jobs (1/4, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4) and it will run them in some odd order like (2/4, 4/4, 3/4, 1/4). Does anyone know what this is?
